Direct download is very easy. It lets you to save a book to your computer first. Then you can transfer it to your preferred reading device. Here are the step-by-step instructions for any kind of reading device you might have. Before following the steps, download the book to your computer. Do this with the link emailed to you after you completed your purchase. Chances are, you will have chosen either epub or Kindle. An epub file is a standard ebook file format readable on almost every ebook reader including iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, and Sony Reader. The other format is the mobi file format that is Kindle ready.

You can also read your book on your computer screen if you prefer. The epub file can be read with Adobe Digital Editions (free download) and the mobi file can be read by Kindle for PC  or Mac (free download)

PDF is also a choice for reading eBooks.

Your first step is to download the book to your computer with your unique link that we sent to your email (the one you used when you purchased the book). If you can’t locate your download link, we can re-send you the download link. Select specific instructions for your preferred eReader from the buttons above.

Kindle

If you have a Kindle, the easiest way is to use WhisperSync, which is detailed in the section below, to get the book onto your device. If you have an older Kindle that doesn’t support Wi-Fi, you may be charged for using Whispersync over 3G. However, you can also use an app called Calibre to transfer books from your computer over USB.

  1. Download Calibre here. It works on both Windows and Mac OS X.
  2. Ignore any messages they tell you about entering in your email.
  3. Add the .mobi version of the books into Calibre.
  4. Connect your Kindle to your computer. Once it’s connected, hit the Send to Device button and Calibre will transfer the files to your device. There are detailed instructions on how to do so in the Calibre user manual.

Mac

Mac users who want to use the Kindle for Mac reader will need to download the book first before loading it into the app. Note: You don’t need to use the Send to Kindle feature to do this, and Send to Kindle actually doesn’t transfer files to Macs as of right now.

  1. Download and install the Kindle for Mac app.
  2. Download our book from our download page that we sent you when you purchased the Kindle version of the book.
  3. Find the book in the Finder app and right click on the .mobi file.
  4. Select Open With and then Kindle, and it will open the book in your Kindle app

After you’ve opened the book once, you don’t need to go through these steps again–you can just open your Kindle app and the book will be there.

Windows

Windows users can also read our book with the Kindle for PC reader. Note: You don’t need to use the Send to Kindle feature to do this, and Send to Kindle actually doesn’t transfer files to PCs as of right now. (This could change at any moment.)

  1. Download and install the Kindle for PC app.
  2. Download our books from our download page that we sent you when you purchased the book.
  3. Double click the .mobi file and it should open in your Kindle for PC app. If it doesn’t, make sure you’ve installed the Kindle for PC app. You can also try right clicking on the .mobi file and selecting Open With and then the Kindle app.
